Dr. Lieberman returned to the Capitol this session to lobby for HB 2283, which expands the epinephrine delivery devices to include the newly available nasal sprays.
Since the passage of SB 66 in 2015, schools have been allowed to keep injectable epinephrine on hand for emergencies involving severe allergic reactions for students and staff. This legislation has saved countless lives across Texas over the past decade. HB 2283 builds on this progress by incorporating modern technology, adding another layer of protection for Texas school children. Passing this bill will provide quicker and more accessible emergency treatment in schools.
